Bar del Corso

Bar del Corso is a pizzeria, restaurant and bar in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle that I help run with my husband. The name comes from my husband’s last name, but also means “bar of the street”. I did the logo, signage and menus. The logo is a hand-drawn and then digitized image of a cardoon, which is related to an artichoke.

Spinasse: Logo / Signage / Website

Spinasse

Cascina Spinasse is an acclaimed Italian restaurant, known for it’s interpretations of traditional Piemontese cuisine and hand made pasta. In 2010, Food & Wine magazine named it’s chef, Jason Stratton, one of 10 “Best New Chefs” in America. I developed the logo, signage, collateral and website.

Seattle Derby Brats: Logo / Tshirt / Poster

Seattle Derby Brats

The Seattle Derby Brats are a league of flat track roller derby girls ages 7 to 17. They have a philosophy “that is designed to instill positive ideals and help young girls realize their own potential.” One day, out of the blue, I got a phone call from someone who had seen my work and wanted to know if I was interested in designing a logo for them. Um…yeah! I was so excited, being a fan of roller derby. Check out their Facebook page to see how awesome they are.

Crow Restaurant and Bar

The design for Crow was inspired by a Japanese woodcut of a bird, the color of the brick on the restaurant’s exterior and the telephone lines that crisscross across the sky. The logotype was made into a neon sign, beckoning Seattle opera-goers to stop awhile and have some homemade lasagne before La Traviata. The mark was also incorporated into the interior metalwork.
